Cape Town: Deccan Chargers' fast bowler Fidel Edwards with his miserly figures on Sunday against Kolkata Knight Riders produced the best economy rate by any bowler in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The West Indies fast bowler, who was crucial in Deccan Chargers' eight-wicket win, gave away just six runs from his four overs that also included a maiden at an economy rate of 1.5 at the Newlands.
Next to him in the second spot is Bangalore Royal Challengers' Anil Kumble, the former India skipper, who recorded an economy rate of 1.57 during his career-best 5 for 5 off 3.1 against defending champions Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.
